We have been approved for development!

We rejoice over God’s faithfulness once again, as we received notification that Rockyview County has approved our application for the Development Permit for Northwest Campus!

We are thankful for the opportunity God provided us over the summer to meet our neighbours, answer their questions and address their concerns. We received the valuable feedback we needed to make this building a good fit for the surrounding community! We look forward to continuing our conversations with the community and with our church as this project advances.

We now plan to proceed with the completion of the construction documents. Our next step is to apply for our Building Permit and then advance the project tender process early next year. Please join us in thanking God for this good news, and continue to be praying for wisdom and God’s blessing in our journey to construction in Spring 2019!

Remembering Ernie and Iris Damkar

While we are thanking God for how he has provided, we also want to take a moment to update you on some sad news. As many of you know, we are able to build a church for our Northwest Campus on land that was gifted to us by the Damkar family.

One of those generous people was Ernie Damkar and he passed away just this past Wednesday, September 12, the evening just before we received the good news of our development approval. Just this past August, you may recall that his wife Iris went to be with the Lord, and Ernie has now followed her there. Both Iris and Ernie dearly looked forward to seeing the Northwest Campus on this land, and because they trusted Jesus as their Lord and Saviour, we believe they will!

Please be praying for Norm and Ester Damkar, and the entire family, that they will experience God’s peace (and the joy of this recent news) during this bittersweet time of grief.
