God is good!! The progress we are seeing at both construction sites is so exciting. Please join us in Praising God for how He has led us to this point in our Build More Room for God journey and invite those in your ministry area to join us in Praise and Thanksgiving.
Below are a couple pictures showing progress at both sites. As you can see on the left, the worship centre has had some important updates to structurally accommodate the expansion, and bring the facility up to new building code standards while improving important aspects of the worship service experience. On the right is a steel cross that is positioned at the entrance to the Northwest Campus from 12 Mile Coulee Rd; in the future there will also be a sign here.

The building progress is great!! But we recognize that this project is not about concrete and steel, it’s about US, you and me, the people, making more room for God in our lives so others can experience Him in their lives.

Impact of Colder Weather
There have been some extended periods of relatively warm and dry weather. That has allowed some of the outdoor work to continue well into the fall. As time progresses and the weather gets colder, it becomes necessary to postpone some work (such as landscaping and paving) to next spring. Other work can continue in the colder winter weather but the team needs to schedule it to take advantage of warmer winter days. Pray for extended periods of mild dry weather during the winter season.
Northwest Campus
Sub-grade work for the third landscaping wall is complete; construction of that third wall is now scheduled for next spring. The rough grading for the portion of the parking lot that will be paved is complete; paving is now scheduled to next spring. The sub grade for the portion of the parking that will not be paved has been installed and compacted. A number of wheel stops have been installed in the parking lot, with more to come in the next few weeks. The concrete foundation for the sign at the front of the property has been poured and a steel cross has been installed. Concrete curbs and sidewalks are complete. Installation of facia, stonework and some shingling on the exterior is ongoing. Interior work including drywall, taping, priming, painting, electrical, millwork (woodwork), HVAC and more is ongoing. Installation of the elevator is expected to start in December. Pray that the many details required to finalize the Northwest building all proceed smoothly so the building can receive the occupancy permit sometime early in 2021. It is possible that some work will be completed after occupancy.
Central Campus
Renovations of the Central Campus worship centre are complete and in person services have moved into that space!! Phase 1 concrete work (foundation, elevator shafts etc.) continues and must be tarped, heated and backfilled to protect it from freezing. When concrete work is complete, installation of the steel structure for the addition will begin and could take 2 – 3 months. Renovations in the NE corner (the rehearsal room) to add a second floor are progressing; wire mesh was recently installed on top of the steel decking; soon the steel stairway will be installed to be followed by a concrete pour of the second floor. Reconfiguration of the SE second floor office area to add two more meeting rooms is almost complete and finishings will be completed soon. Concrete curbs and sidewalks and pavement ramps have been completed in the new south parking area; line painting is scheduled for next spring. Pray for wisdom for our board of governors as they make decisions about when to start further phases.
