God is good!! The progress we are seeing at both construction sites is so exciting. Please join us in Praising God for how He has led us to this point in our Build More Room for God journey and invite those in your ministry area to join us in Praise and Thanksgiving.
The NW Campus entrance is taking shape with the sidewalk and canopy in place. We are looking forward to opening this facility in the coming months!!
The new second floor in the NE Corner of Central Campus is partially complete. We are looking forward to having more useable space here because of the extra floor.
More pictures are available at this link.
The building progress is great!! But we recognize that this project is not about concrete and steel, it’s about US, you and me, the people, making more room for God in our lives so others can experience Him in their lives.
Below is the January 2021 update.
Impact of Colder Weather
There have been some significant snowfalls, AND there have also been some extended periods of relatively mild dry weather. That has allowed some of the outdoor work to continue even as we enter the winter season. Winter weather can be unpredictable and can unexpectedly affect the work schedule, so there is some extra effort for our project team to manage the schedule. Pray for extended periods of mild dry weather during the winter season and for the project team as they manage the winter schedule.
Northwest Campus
The team is progressing stonework on the exterior wall, facia, entrance canopy shingles, flat roof work, and some exterior concrete work. Interior work is progressing well including drywall boarding and taping, making HVAC electrical and other mechanical connections, millwork (woodwork) installation, painting of ceilings and walls, installation of the elevator, and construction of the steel frame for the platform. Soon there will be a concrete pour of the platform. There are many details that need to come together as the building nears completion. Some exterior work such as paving and landscaping is deferred to spring. Pray for the project team as they prepare for an occupancy permit inspection in the coming weeks.
Central Campus
In person services at Central Campus have been in the renovated worship centre for several weeks now!! What a blessing to be back in that space!! There is some minor additional work to do in the Worship Centre. Phase 1 concrete work (foundation, elevator shafts etc.) continues. Installation of the steel structure for the addition is expected to begin in January and could take 2 – 3 months. The second floor in the NE corner (the rehearsal room) will soon have a steel stairwell installed, and then a concrete pour. Finishing’s such as doors and rubber bases are progressing in the new meeting rooms on the second floor in the SE corner. Some outside work such as line painting in the new south parking area is deferred to spring. Pray that installation of the steel structure will proceed safely during the winter.
