Praise the Lord!! Central Campus is making good progress and Bearspaw Campus (Northwest Campus) will be opening sometime this summer. And yes… you read that right! It will be called ‘Bearspaw Campus’ in keeping with our desire to name our new permanent facilities after the communities in which we worship, gather and serve. 

At the Build Townhall on June 7, an update on where we are, both physically and financially, was provided. If you were not able to attend, you can watch a recording below. We are so grateful for how God has led us thus far. In summary, giving to the project was $14.8M compared to our three-year minimum goal of $18M, the project experienced cost increases, and the giving period is extended. The remaining construction is expected to take about two years, and if giving continued at the current rate, the project could be fully paid in about three years. Please join us in praying for the project as further work to refine the cost estimates takes place over the summer.  

This project is not about concrete and steel, it is about US, you and me, the people, making more room for God in our lives so others can experience Him in their lives. This spring, pastor Henry and pastor Ashwin have been reminding us of that by taking us through a series of sermons titled “How then shall we live?” where we are hearing again about our five pursuits. Bearspaw Campus

The warm weather has allowed outside work to resume, including landscaping and paving. We are still waiting for some elements of the building to be delivered and installed, after which there will be an occupancy inspection. Please join us in prayer for those final elements and for the inspection. Pray for our neighbours; this project is not about landscaping and paving – it’s about people who matter to God. 

 

Central Campus

We are amazed at the skill of the workers and the size of the steel girders being installed in the expansion. Work is also proceeding in the existing facility in the NE corner and other parts of the building such as children’s ministry area where remodelling is required. Please keep the steel workers in your prayers as they are working at height. Please pray for safety for all the workers.
