April 2023 Update
PRAISE THE LORD!! God has brought us a long way on this journey to BUILD more room for Him and this month we want to honour that. In this month’s video (below) watch how He has moved through us, through every challenge and every success.
And now, we are in our final year of construction (God willing!)
And speaking of history, we want to honour and pray for those who came before us in this journey. It is due to the generosity of past generations in our CSC family that we have the facilities we gather in today! We want to especially pray for our seniors in our Prayer of the Month.
Our seniors will also be ministered to in the new Central Campus expansion, where Maranatha Ministry will have luncheons or banquets and speakers.
This is also about what God can do through our seniors and through everyone as we take step of faith and give to fully pay for these projects.

Here are this month’s top construction updates at Central Campus
- Painting of doors, door frames, window frames and open ceilings is progressing.
- Connections between the existing facility and the expansion are being developed, including the expansion of the chapel.
- Millwork/cabinetry is being installed.

- Toilets and other washroom equipment is being installed.
- The reception counter at the east entrance has been completed.
- This summer we will be installing a second entrance to the south parking lot from 38 Ave.
- All three elevators in the Central Campus expansion have been installed but won’t be operational until inspected just prior to occupancy.
- Interior work continues including steel stud framing, insulation, drywall & taping, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire-spray, lighting, millwork/cabinetry, and primer/paint.

“She had been asked to leave three other churches with her son with special needs. No, we have never ever done that. And for her she was just in tears because we would accommodate that situation.”
Special Needs Ministry volunteer from 2018 sharing CSC’s heart for special needs outside a crowded Prayer Room where adults with special needs and their caregivers gather, sometimes to the point of overflowing each Sunday.
This summer, renovations in our existing spaces at Central Campus will expand and transform spaces for Special Needs Ministry to become purpose built for their unique needs.

Pray that God will bless our older adults with strength and good health to reach out to those around them and invite them to church and our Maranatha Seniors Ministry. Pray that many older adults will be discipled and changed in these new spaces and that they will impact the world for His eternal purposes.

Finance Update
We are grateful for how God has provided through our giving to BUILD which to Feb 2023 has totalled $20 million (Chapter 1 $15.7M, Chapter 2 $4.3M) leaving $5.5M remaining in our Chapter 2 goal. We still have a way to go to reach our goal. Thank you for continuing to pray and persevere with us in our journey to “complete the work,” physically, spiritually, and financially, in the spirit of 2 Corinthians 8:11.
