Three times a week, our partner the Calgary Food Bank provides food hampers for families in need. We are seeing up to 60 families who come to pick up food each week at our west campus. With many of these individuals we are able to share the love of Jesus and share how we desire to walk with people as we love them from a place of poverty and need into fullness of life with Jesus! This means that over 50 households have the opportunity to hear about Jesus each and every week!

CAREY (not his real name), his wife and children have been struggling with disability and poverty and wanted nothing more than to have their life mean something more. Right now, we are meeting some practical needs in their life and they are walking with us in a journey we call a ‘life budget’. We are helping them see what MORE in their life through Jesus could look like. For this family, this includes engagement in worship and community at CSC, support to find employment, and a sense that finally they are not alone, finally they are cared for.

This is just one story, of many, telling of the work God is doing through the Compassionate Ministries here at Centre Street Church. God has blessed this ministry, and He is bringing His love, transformation and power alive in people’s lives each and every week!
