Our Special Needs ministry creates an environment where everyone is welcome, anyone can belong and find encouragement to grow in their faith. Many people in our community grow through developing their spiritual gifts, and through opportunities to serve. We focus on the goals identified by the family or individual. It was the goal of one child to attend regular Children’s Ministries rather than attending our special needs gathering. Through a one on one volunteer, he is able to attend Children’s Ministry on Sunday mornings but is able to come and go based on his needs. We work with this family and others like them, as well as volunteers to provide support, resources, and a community where people can build relationships and grow spiritually. In doing this, God is using us to further God’s kingdom of making disciples and helping people grow in their faith. This young boy’s mom recently shared this with us:
