We recently heard this story from our Compassionate Ministries team. We are excited to share with you one example of how God is impacting lives in our community.

Cheryl (name changed) is a grandmother to two beautiful kids under 10 years of age. For the last number of years she has been their primary provider as their mother has struggled with addictions and is unable to care for them. Cheryl has worked small jobs here and there to pay the bills and she has recently completed a training course to find a job that will care for the kids in a better way.

Compassionate Ministries has been walking with Cheryl and has assisted in helping her do a ‘life budget’ (an assessment interview that gives a picture of needs in her life). We have been able to offer some support with rent, food and some minor car repairs through a partnering business.

We have been so encouraged by how we’ve seen God’s faithfulness shine through in Cheryl’s life. She is meeting her goals and is beginning to journey in what God’s best for her can really mean! Please join us in praying for the individuals who are being impacted by Compassionate Ministries. Pray for Cheryl, her daughter and her grandchildren. Pray that they will continue to know and experience God’s love for them in a deeper way. Also pray with us that God’s love would be known all throughout Calgary, our nation and the world.
