September 2022 Update
We celebrate one year since our Bearspaw Campus opened! Even more importantly, we are taking this opportunity to formally dedicate Bearspaw Campus this month. In the missional spirit of the journey to BUILD, we are marking our one-year anniversary by inviting our neighbours and broader NW Calgary to a day of fun and games on September 24. Please join with us in prayer that God will use that event as an opportunity for our Bearspaw Campus congregation to get to know some new faces and provide even more opportunities to reach our neighbours for Christ! The exciting events at Bearspaw Campus is an encouragement to our faith journey. We are also stepping into a season of excitement and expectancy as we near the final year of construction of the Central Campus expansion! Giving has been below forecast recently and we still have a way to go to reach our financial goal, which is described here. We look forward to seeing God continue to move in this area of need as He has brought us further than we could ever imagine and will continue to do so in the spirit of Have you had an opportunity to contribute to our faith journey to BUILD more room for God? If not, would you prayerfully seek the Lord for His will for your generosity towards these projects. Donations can be accepted at any time.
These are this month’s top construction updates:

- Accessibility matters to us as a church! An incline “lift" and an elevator “lift" in the NE corner are installed and in use, providing easy access for mobility challenged persons.
- Connections between the existing facility and the expansion are being worked, including the expansion of the existing Central Campus chapel.

Importance of Prayer
Prayer of the month
Pray that as we dedicate the Bearspaw Campus building and celebrate the one-year anniversary of its opening that God will use the facility and its people to impact northwest Calgary in powerful ways. Pray that more people from that quadrant of the city will be drawn to attend church and that He will use the NW Community Fun Day to inspire deeper conversations and pursuits in alignment with His Kingdom.

Finance Update
As of August 2022 we have given $2.9M (29.7%) towards our goal of $9.8M; the remaining goal is $6.9M. We are grateful for what the Lord has supplied. Giving in 2022 has been below forecast and we still have a way to go to reach our goal. Thank you for continuing to pray and persevere with us in our journey to “complete the work,” physically, spiritually, and financially, in the spirit of 2 Corinthians 8:11.

At Young Adults, there are lots of souls that are being saved. In basketball ministry there are new believers that are being transformed. It’s a blessing that this church has been here! And it’s a blessing that God has been using His ministry to the furtherance of the gospel.

It’s been amazing, just to have a spot for people to gather, to order coffee, to sit and interact with each other without feeling pressured to get out of the space at a certain time, has been incredible.
