January 2023 Update
PRAISE THE LORD!! It is a new year and a new season of anticipation and preparation for our journey to BUILD more room for God! We are thankful for God’s timing! 2023 is hoped to be the final year of new construction at Central Campus - just in time for renewed growth as families are coming back to church in greater numbers since the pandemic.
Part of this season of preparation requires a step of faith – it will require all of us to give of our time and finances so we can be ready for new faces and opportunities to introduce people to Jesus. Please prayerfully seek Him about where He might have you serve as we need more volunteers to respond to increased numbers of youth, children and people in need.
Giving to BUILD has been below forecast recently and we still have a way to go to reach our financial goal, which is described here. Please prayerfully seek the Lord’s guidance about what you can give. www.buildmoreroom.ca/give

Update Videos
As we grow in size, God is giving us a spirit of hospitality and invitation! Be inspired by how God blessed the lives of one couple when they responded to His call to invite people to various opportunities to grow faith and connection!
Here is our financial update which follows an abridged version of Laurie-Lynn and Dave’s journey through the Power of Invitation.

Importance of Prayer
Prayer of the month
Pray for our Grade 5/6 students as they grow in their relationship with God, and that they will be excited to invite their friends to the new Gym when it is ready. Pray that God will raise up an army of volunteers and generous givers in this final year of new construction. Pray that interior work at Central will proceed quickly, efficiently, and safely.

Finance Update
As of December 2022 we have given $4.0M (40.8%) towards our goal of $9.8M; the remaining amount to be raised towards our goal is $5.8M. We are grateful for what the Lord has supplied. Giving in 2022 has been below forecast and we still have a way to go to reach our goal. Thank you for continuing to pray and persevere with us in our journey to “complete the work,” physically, spiritually, and financially, in the spirit of 2 Corinthians 8:11.

Thinking of responding to the call for desperately needed volunteers in Children’s Ministry? Just jump in and you will not regret it. Take it from Catherine who volunteers at Airdrie Campus and has been part of CSC for ten years!
“I want to let my fellow volunteers know to take heart in knowing their work for the Lord is never in vain. The Lord will greatly reward you for taking care of His little children. Remember, Jesus called them to him, saying, “Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God” (Luke 18:16).
This verse above teaches me that The Kingdom of God belongs to little children, and unless we become like little children, we can never enter the Kingdom of God. It's a privilege for me to seek first the Kingdom of God and do His will, knowing that everything I ask the Lord will be added to me. (Matthew 6:33).
Also, I think the expansion of Children's Ministry space at Central Campus is great because it will allow us to accept more children and have more space and equipment to teach them.”
