February 2023 Update
PRAISE THE LORD!! We are in awe of how God has led us on this journey to BUILD more room for God! We know he will continue to lead us as we follow HIM, and we look forward to completing the journey. 2023 is hoped to be the final year of new construction at Central Campus - just in time for renewed growth, as families are coming to church in greater numbers since the pandemic.
If all goes according to our timelines – we will start to see some ministries moving into the new spaces this September and October! Please be praying that God’s hand would be in our timelines and that we would enter a season of preparation with anticipation, excitement and generosity.
Part of this season of preparation requires a step of faith it will require all of us to give of our time, talents and finances so we can be ready for new faces and opportunities to introduce people to Jesus. Please prayerfully seek Him about where He might have you serve as we need more volunteers to respond to increased numbers of youth, children and people in need.
We still have a way to go to reach our BUILD financial goal, which is described here. Whether you’ve been attending for many years or whether you’ve recently joined us, please prayerfully seek the Lord’s guidance about what you can give to BUILD. www.buildmoreroom.ca/give

See how God moves the Hamel family to serve during a difficult season of pain and hardship in their lives. Watch the joy on their boys’ faces when they are invited to tour the future new gym space:
Diane: I can remember at the old church (previous CSC building on Centre Street) we had a gym that we would use all the time for young adults. That ministry grew immensely… they had somewhere to meet at the café after a service or to come and do sports … it was so important for the people who were just coming in and learning about Jesus to get connected and feel like they were a part of something.
As we grow in size, God is giving us a spirit of hospitality and invitation! Be inspired by how God blessed the lives of one couple when they responded to His call to invite people to various opportunities to grow faith and connection!

Importance of Prayer
Prayer of the month
Pray for our Grade 5/6 students as they grow in their relationship with God, and that they will be excited to invite their friends to the new Gym when it is ready. Pray that God will raise up an army of volunteers and generous givers in this final year of new construction.

Finance Update
As of January 2023 we have given $4.1M (41.9%) towards our goal of $9.8M; the remaining amount to be raised towards our goal is $5.7M. We are grateful for what the Lord has supplied. We still have a way to go to reach our goal. Thank you for continuing to pray and persevere with us in our journey to “complete the work,” physically, spiritually, and financially, in the spirit of 2 Corinthians 8:11.

Thinking of responding to the call for desperately needed volunteers in Children’s Ministry? Just jump in and you will not regret it. Take it from the Hamel family who responded to God’s call to serve even more when they were going through a season of pain and loss:
No one can really console you and understand the depths of what you are feeling. Through that difficult time of really completely surrendering, He just grew us and molded us. You give up the illusion of control and through that He opened our hearts more to be ready to serve Him and answer His call.”
Serge: “The boys, I find after they come from serving in Children’s Ministries, they get their buckets filled.”
