Throughout his life, Trent has seen the clear need to be in an environment where he can live out his faith and be in community with a variety of people who care deeply for him. Trent came to a knowledge of the saving love of Jesus and committed his life to Him and has since been connected in community at CSC.  Trent has developed a mentoring friendship with Pastor Lucas and  we are continuing to provide assistance, programs and friendship through Compassionate Ministries. “It has been such a joy for us to walk with Trent and to assist him in meeting practical needs from food to safe accommodation” Says Steve Griffin, pastor of Compassionate Ministries.

Part of Trent’s journey has included attending our Alpha program; from which he graduated last year. He is passionate about continuing to learn and grow in new ways with Jesus and to be further involved in community and life here.

One of the most exciting dynamics of the work being done in Compassionate Ministries is when we see God’s hand powerfully upon someone because of His great love! Trent recently received a diagnosis for liver disease, which was potentially terminal with no option of surgery. He came to our Compassionate Ministries team to ask for prayer. After he received prayer, a week later he told us that his test results came back normal, as if there were no disease! Since then, even further tests have been completed, showing that Trent’s liver has been completed healed! What an amazing testimony to the faithfulness and love of God. It has been a catalyst for deepening Trent’s faith, and he is now sharing the gospel with many others through sharing his personal story!
